Hello Beniamino, the kickstart test from
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1915493#c32

is still failing for us with:

repo=http://download.eng.bos.redhat.com/rhel-8/development/RHEL-8/latest-RHEL-8.4/compose/BaseOS/x86_64/os/
RHEL-8.5.0-20210328.d.2
NetworkManager-1.32.0-0.1.el8.x86_64.rpm

Comment 5 Beniamino Galvani 2021-03-29 11:41:55 UTC
Good catch; revert of commit "initrd: set the bootif MAC in existing connection with ifname" happened after version 1.31.2 (the NM version in RHEL 8.5):

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/commits/c21d4ce125e3335e272246b9fe1d5edf1daf29f0

The failure will be fixed in the next package update.

Comment 6 Vladimir Benes 2021-04-28 13:44:07 UTC
We have this covered in unit tests.
