Description of problem: I am seeing a lot of these errors in system journal on latest Fedora 34 every time I type to search for something in Shell Overview: fedora gnome-shell[1629]: Received error from D-Bus search provider firefox.desktop: Gio.DBusError: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name is not activatable fedora nautilus[3072]: Connecting to org.freedesktop.Tracker3.Miner.Files fedora bijiben-shell-s[3073]: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed fedora bijiben-shell-s[3073]: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed fedora bijiben-shell-s[3073]: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-86.0-7.fc34.x86_64 bijiben-3.38.0-4.fc34.x86_64 gnome-shell-40.0~rc-1.fc34.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Fedora 34 and fully update it. 2. Run: journalctl -xe 3. Look for the "GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown" firefox.desktop errors. Additional info: Also, notice the bijiben failed assertions. They seem to be related to this firefox issue, so I am not reporting them as a separate bz.
I'll look at it, Thanks.

Seeing this after updating to Fedora 37. Tried reinstalling Firefox and that does not help. Three processes are created each for an attempt to open a Firefox window, accompanied by message Received error from D-Bus search provider firefox.desktop: Gio.DBusError: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name is not activatable in the logs. Can this be re-opened for Fedora 37?
Attempted to start Firefox on the system having the problem to collect the output from 'ps aux | grep firefox' when the problem is occurring and... it works now! I had removed Firefox and restarted (for about the fourth time), so fully expected the problem to occur again. Not sure what to do here. Definitely experienced a problem, not confident that 'uninstall, restart, re-install, restart' is a viable work-around / 'solution'.
