Description Jeremy Linton 2021-03-25 22:20:39 UTC
Description of problem: Running dnf update.

You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.
Error: Transaction test error:
file /usr/lib64/libibverbs.so.1 from install of libibverbs-34.0-2.fc35.aarch64 conflicts with file from package libibverbs-core-32.0-1.fc34.aarch64

Which is a bit of a PITA, because

dnf erase libibverbs-core
Error:
Problem: The operation would result in removing the following protected packages: systemd

I forced the install, and now it works, but ugh...

Expected results:

Clean update.

Comment 1 Honggang LI 2021-03-26 00:02:23 UTC
/usr/lib64/libibverbs.so* belongs to rdma-core not libibcommon, so change the component.

Well, you were using a really old build of rdma-core for fc34.
The libibverbs-core sub-package had been removed in rdma-core-33 build.

Sorry, but we will not have such issue for Fedora 35+. I'm closing this bug as WONTFIX.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 35 development cycle.
Changing version to 35.
