See http://maliit.github.io/release/news/2021/04/02/maliit-releases/ maliit-framework should be updated to 2.0. maliit-plugins should be replaced with maliit-keyboard 2.0.
Peter, do you agree that we (KDE SIG) take care of the update process? We need maliit keyboard for Plasma Mobile. Plan is to rename maliit-plugins to maliit-keyboard and update maliit-framework. Is this okay with you?
Here is our bug for reference: https://pagure.io/fedora-kde/SIG/issue/90

I don't think it makes much sense to rename plugins -> keyboard, is there any crossover between the two? Please also reach out to other users, at least the Sugar desktop uses it as well.

Anyway, I will keep it and create a new package for maliit-keyboard if you want to keep maliit-plugins.
Here is the first change: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/maliit-framework/pull-request/2

If it's not supported we don't keep it, my point is that a package rename vs a new package basically is the same thing so just do a new package review.
There are new package requests: 1) qt5-qtfeedback (required for maliit-keyboard) - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1977266 2) maliit-keyboard - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1977283
(In reply to Peter Robinson from comment #3) > I don't think it makes much sense to rename plugins -> keyboard, is there > any crossover between the two? The on-screen keyboard plugin was in the "plugins" package before. However, development of all plugins except the keyboard ceased and now only the keyboard is being developed.
CC: suger packagers Is okay for you if we update maliit-framework to the version 2.0.0? Here is a PR for it: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/maliit-framework/pull-request/2
