Description of problem: feature request https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/dnf-system-upgrade/ since MANY people use this web page, would like to suggest edit to above web page of yours: instructions for how to upgrade first from fedora 33 to 34 beta next from fedora 34 beta to 34. if that is the answer, you should make it explicitly obvious like "after upgrading to 34 beta, if automatic updates are in place it will automatically upgrade to 34 final when 34 final is released." Additional info: the instructions were found on the below website and are copied below: https://fedoramagazine.org/announcing-fedora-34-beta/ the name is simply 34. And, it’s enough that you upgrade your system just once. F34 Beta will evolve into F34 on (?)April 27– all you should do is a regular update of packages while no rebasing of the system is necessary. sudo dnf upgrade –refresh sudo dnf install dnf-plugin-system-upgrade sudo dnf system-upgrade download –refresh –releasever=34 sudo dnf system-upgrade reboot This website of yours below also answers the question: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upgrading_from_pre-release_to_final https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/Branched#Yum_update_from_previous_official_release " Performing the upgrade You shouldn't need to do anything to get the final public release, other than install package updates as they become available. You can use "sudo dnf update" or wait for desktop notification. " ... the disadvantage is that "There may be some differences from a fresh install because the installer can do certain things slightly differently than the package update system." and I would disable the testing and rawhide repositories as explained there. DUH !!!! I have now found https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/upgrading/ which has all this information; so in conclusion maybe you should wipe out the first site https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/dnf-system-upgrade/ to avoid other people from embarassing themselves :-)
