+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1952075 +++ This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #1948376 - but tailored to migrations from 8.3 hosts (that are not set with client certificate) to 8.4 hosts
The current state that needs to be documented is: If a user experiences problems with encrypted migrations from 8.X to 8.4 due to a missing migration client certificate, it can be remedied by switching the 8.X host to maintenance.
This bug has low overall severity and is not going to be further verified by QE. If you believe special care is required, feel free to properly align relevant severity, flags and keywords to raise PM_Score or use one of the Bumps ('PrioBumpField', 'PrioBumpGSS', 'PrioBumpPM', 'PrioBumpQA') in Keywords to raise it's PM_Score above verification threashold (1000).
Arik, please check this wording and comment: "When migrating virtual machines from hosts that have not been upgraded to hosts that have been upgraded, and migration encryption is enabled, the migration might fail due to a missing migration client certificate. Workaround: Place the migration origin host (that has not been upgraded) in Maintenance mode before proceeding with migration."
Milan, can you please check the above?
