Description of problem: The current version of the package linux-firmware is missing the upstream commits for support of the AMD 6700 XT microcode. Relevant commits in upstream are: * https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/commit/?id=d5567c5bfa053de18160f30f43c01fe5bbd99286 (for 21.10) * https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/commit/?id=a29bdb2e59be9e3f5a1f3d021e63ab4b05df3468 (initial support) Therefore, Fedora will not boot with kernel mode setting with a R6700XT GPU. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): linux-firmware-20210315-119
It landed upstream on Wed of last week, 5 days ago, there's not been a tagged releases since then. We do monthly updates, if you want it sooner you can always just use a git checkout.
Thank you for your review, however the initial support for the GPU was added on 2021-03-22 (commit a29bdb2e59be9e3f5a1f3d021e63ab4b05df3468) - more than a month ago. Of course I could use a git checkout, however other users of Fedora might want an easier experience with the card. If you feel that a new release of the package is imminent, please close the bug on your own discretion.
