Description of problem: XFCE fails to respond after a period of inactivity and the whole desktop seems broken. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Easy Steps to Reproduce: 1. install x2go-server and xfce desktop on the server 2. install x2go-client on a client 3. connect using x2go-clinet to the server using the XFCE desktop Actual results: Can't resize windows can't use the XFCE Desktop Expected results: That XFCE works over x2go Additional info:
I will try to reproduce this ... I have no experience with x2go, to be honest.
On the x2go mailing list I got the following solution: XFCE works with Fedora 34 if you turn off compositing. See: Applications->Settings->Window Manager Tweaks->Compositor To turn off globally (can be overridden by user), I created: /etc/xdg/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfwm4.xml with this added: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <channel name="xfwm4" version="1.0"> <property name="general" type="empty"> <property name="use_compositing" type="bool" value="false"/> </property> </channel>
