Trying to run smbtree command fails with:

$ smbtree
smbc_opendir: File o directory non esistente

I can't find anything providing smbc_opendir. Searching in the net it seems it should be provided by samba package itself.

You need to have netbios name resoluiton configured, see:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/FAQ#Why_does_Windows_Network_Neighborhood_not_show_Samba_server.28s.29.3F

It will be addressed with a better error message in the next Samba version:
