Description Avital Pinnick 2021-05-11 13:11:50 UTC
MTC for migrating OpenShift 3 to 4 has strategic importance.

The current documentation section (https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/openshift_container_platform/4.7/html/migration_toolkit_for_containers/migrating-from-openshift-container-platform-3) should be reorganized as a standalone guide so that it has greater visibility.

The other sections (4.1/4.2) are TBD.

Update:

"Migration Toolkit for Containers > Migrating from OpenShift Container Platform 3" will become "Migrating from OpenShift Container Platform 3 to 4"

4.1 and 4.2 sections will become a separate guide, probably called "Migrating between OpenShift Container Platform 4 clusters".

Comment 2 Avital Pinnick 2021-05-12 10:04:22 UTC
Update about the 4.1 and 4.2 sections. Because MTC will support other use cases, like migration from Kubernetes to OpenShift, I think it makes sense to keep 4.1 and 4.2 in the Migration Toolkit for Containers guide. Then we can add more sections, as needed.

Changes merged.
