Please note that according to the logs you forgot to enable the feature in the DB - "Error while executing action: Cannot attach Storage. Attaching a managed offload storage domain is currently unsupported. To attach it please enable the ManagedBlockDomainSupported config value." Try run "engine-config -s ManagedBlockDomainSupported=true" for 4.5 and 4.6 version and restart the engine. Please close the bug if the issue resolve after that. I completed the whole cinderlib supported functionality on HE environment. Closing this bug as WORKSFORME. |
Description of problem: After creating a new MBD via REST API request, the option to make attach to DC for the new MBD on hosted engine environment isn't supported and failed with the following ERROR message: "Error while executing action: Cannot attach Storage. Attaching a managed offload storage domain is currently unsupported. To attach it please enable the ManagedBlockDomainSupported config value." Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHV build name: rhv-4.4.6-8 ovirt-engine-4.4.6.7-0.1.el8ev.noarch How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Running CinderLib integration flow on the engine and configure conf.file and keyring file on the engine. 2.Running the request for creation of CinderLib Ceph SD on REST API -> The new CinderLib Ceph SD was created successfully. 3.Try to attach the new CinderLib ceph SD to DC. Actual results: Got Error message in the UI: "Error while executing action: Cannot attach Storage. Attaching a managed offload storage domain is currently unsupported. To attach it please enable the ManagedBlockDomainSupported config value."
