RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

[2]
https://git.centos.org/rpms/po4a/
import po4a-0.52-4.el8 CentOS Sources committed 2 years ago

[3]
dnf repoquery po4a --qf "%{repoid} %{sourcerpm}" --quiet
powertools po4a-0.52-4.el8.src.rpm

Expected results:

I don't mind rebasing this.

Comment 4 Sergio Basto 2021-05-18 13:29:19 UTC
Thank you, let me know when I can check the progress , I also maintainer of po4a package in Fedora, If I can help in something let me know and don't forget po4a is a noarch package ;)

Comment 9 Richard W.M. Jones 2021-05-19 10:22:25 UTC
I did local builds of libguestfs and virt-v2v from the RHEL AV 8.5.0
branch with the new po4a package installed and it WFM.

Refer to comment 6, checked po4a version from brewweb, po4a-0.63-1.el8 has been built.

So the bug has been fixed, move the bug to VERIFIED.

The new po4a will be available in RHEL 8.5 and we don't announce
release dates in advance, but releases happen every 6 months and
RHEL 8.4 was released only a month ago (https://access.redhat.com/articles/3078).
That's enterprise software for ya ..

I've put the packages we're testing here:

This already present in CentOS Stream 8.

http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-stream/PowerTools/x86_64/os/Packages/po4a-0.63-1.el8.noarch.rpm

That's an upstream enterprise project for ya ..

Excellent! I've deleted my copy - it's best to use the C8S packages
that Josh linked to (not least because they'll get updates if we
discover problems).
