Comment 1 Luya Tshimbalanga 2021-05-15 15:26:23 UTC
Add blockers specific to architectures.

Comment 2 Ben Beasley 2021-05-29 12:24:30 UTC
As noted, upstream has arch-specific code and only supports x86_64.

It is likely that aarch64 will be officially supported in the future, and a build is reportedly already possible with a moderate amount of patching. See https://github.com/PixarAnimationStudios/USD/issues/1256. I am not convinced this is worth attempting in Fedora.

It is unlikely that s390x, ppc64le, or any 32-bit architecture will ever be supported.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 35 development cycle.
Changing version to 35.

Comment 4 Ben Beasley 2021-10-06 13:57:51 UTC
While there has been no official announcement that I could find, the current release builds and installs on aarch64. I’ve just updated the package to add that architecture.

This bug never blocked F-ExcludeArch-aarch64, so there’s nothing to remove there; I am updating the title, though.

Comment 5 Ben Cotton 2022-11-29 16:57:18 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora Linux 35 is nearing its end of life.
Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora Linux 35 on 2022-12-13.
It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer
maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a
'version' of '35'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, change the 'version'
to a later Fedora Linux version.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before Fedora Linux 35 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora Linux, you are encouraged to change the 'version' to a later version
prior to this bug being closed.

Considering https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/EncourageI686LeafRemoval and https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/RetireARMv7, I’m unblocking the trackers for those architectures.
