Created attachment 1786768 [details] new spec file Description of problem: The currently packaged version of kismet needs to be run as root, even though upstream discourages it. Instead, they suggest using suid method. I have adjusted the spec file and the kismet-install.patch so that a new group kismet will be installed and all users belonging to that group can run kismet. I admit that my spec file is not the most beautiful, but I tried to keep the diff to the current testing version of kismet (kismet-0.0.2021.05.R1-1.fc34) as low as possible. I hope it will be of help.
