Created attachment 1787505 [details] documentation screenshot of fluentd parameters Description of problem: On this page it says Fluentd buffer size can not be configured. https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.7/logging/cluster-logging-external.html `You cannot adjust the buffer size or add a persistent volume claim (PVC) to the Fluentd daemon set or pods.` However, On this page, it says Fluentd buffer can be configured. https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.7/logging/config/cluster-logging-collector.html#cluster-logging-collector-tuning_cluster-logging-collector `The maximum size of the buffer, which is the total size of the stage and the queue. If the buffer size exceeds this value, Fluentd stops adding data to chunks and fails with an error. All data not in chunks is lost.`
This also impacts supported versions of OCP, so updating to 4.8 version.
