Latest upstream release: 0.5.0
Current version/release in rawhide: 0.4.4-14.fc34
URL: https://github.com/click-contrib/click-threading

Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/

More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring

Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream.

Comment 1 Upstream Release Monitoring 2021-05-31 09:02:45 UTC
One or more of the new sources for this package are identical to the old sources. This is most likely caused either by identical source files between releases, for example service files, or the specfile does not use version macro in its source URLs. If this is the second case, then please update the specfile to use version macro in its source URLs.

Comment 3 Upstream Release Monitoring 2021-05-31 09:05:43 UTC
the-new-hotness/release-monitoring.org's scratch build of python-click-threading-0.5.0-1.fc32.src.rpm for rawhide failed http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=69026597

Comment 4 David Kaufmann 2021-09-15 01:39:35 UTC
May I also request this update? vdirsyncer needs this for updating 0.16 to 0.18, but according to `dnf repoquery --whatdepends python3-click-threading` it seems I'm the only user inside the fedora repos, so there might not be too much demand.

Comment 5 Michele Baldessari 2021-09-15 08:06:56 UTC
Apologies, I am a bit swamped and missed this one. I now built the new version in rawhide.

Comment 6 David Kaufmann 2021-09-15 13:06:33 UTC
no worries, thanks. I was myself unable to update my packages during summer, just found a bit of time to get back on track.

Comment 7 David Kaufmann 2021-09-15 13:21:28 UTC
ah, sorry - may I also request f35? it seems python3.10 already broke stuff there - looks like eval has less quirks in python3.10:

> Unknown error occurred: unmatched ')' (<string>, line 1)
> File "/usr/lib/python3.10/site-packages/click_threading/monkey.py", line 50, in patch_ui_functions
> stub_f = eval('lambda {s}: {n}._real_click_fn({a})'

This function had a major change upstream in commit[1]: "Unbreak master (#6)", so I suspect this could also fix it for f35.

Sorry for being annoying, but I'd like to have this for f35, I've currently got a request for this in bug 2019501.

Thanks!

Ugh apologies again. Here we go https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-31d049cc4e

I also added you to as a committer to python-click-threading so you're not necessarily stuck waiting on my ridiculously slow reaction times ;)
