Avro provides: * Rich data structures. * A compact, fast, binary data format. * A container file, to store persistent data. * Remote procedure call (RPC). * Simple integration with dynamic languages. Code generation is not required to read or write data files nor to use or implement RPC protocols. Code generation as an optional optimization, only worth implementing for statically typed languages. This package is a requirement for updating the Python Azure SDK for Python, which is a requirement for packing the Azure CLI.
I can’t review this right away, so I’ll leave it open for someone else to claim. However, please see my comments on https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1966722 regarding obsolete/EPEL-specific macros, and please also consider https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/#_trademarks_in_summary_or_description.

Disregard. After working on packaging on the latest version of the Azure SDK/CLI, it turns out that this requirement is no longer needed.
