Multiple changes are required for RBD block device guide. Using this BZ as a place holder for all the changes to be done. 

1. [root@rbd-client ~]# rbd help snap list - needs to be accessed using cephadm shell or container. This change has to be done in the complete document. 

2. ISCSI - cephadm installation changes - https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/cephadm/iscsi/

3. ISCSI - GWCLI access changes https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1962508

4. RBD-mirror in section 4 is same as the 4.x of configuration. Commands need to change as per cephadm for configure rbd-mirror
Section 6(The rbd kernel module) is changed which was there in section3 in 4.x doc. Just want to know the reason.

Hi Amrita,

In section 8.3.2.4 -- Create a configuration file on a Ceph iSCSI gateway node, and then copy it to all iSCSI gateway nodes. ---> No need to copy to all nodes, we can just apply from bootstrap node.

In section 8.3.2.5 -- Apply the specification with the following command: ---> Need to change the path of "iscsi-gateway.yaml" i.e need to cd /etc/ceph/ first then apply from there.

In section 8.3.2.6 -- On all Ceph iSCSI gateway nodes, enable and start the API services: ---> I had couple of questions regarding iscsi services and asked to the developer whether those steps are needed are not as we are not following now. I will get back you once those are clarified.

In section 8.4.2.4 -- You can remove note as we support mixed ip's (ipv4 & ipv6) now.

In section 8.4.4.5 -- Add a host to the host group: --- We need to remove all disks which are added to host before adding host to hots group, else we can't add host to host group. There should be note for it.

As I said in above command:

In section 8.3.2.2 -- On all Ceph iSCSI gateway nodes, install the ceph-iscsi and tcmu-runner packages: -- you can remove this step as this is not needed for container setups. 

In section 8.3.2.6 -- On all Ceph iSCSI gateway nodes, enable and start the API services:  -- This step is not needed.

Can we track iSCSI changes in separate BZ? It is confusing to track BZs can be verified or moved to Assigned once RBD changes are validated.

For visibility the scope of this bz is not limited to the description and includes changes, chapter wise in the Guide.

Also `An overview of journal based and snapshot based mirroring` has been added.
