Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
Cause: Many list pages included title attributes on the links to individual resources, but the attribute values were not helpful. Consequence: When hovering over a link to an individual resource from a list page, the resulting text either showed unhelpful metadata such as the resource UID or simply duplicated the name. Fix: Remove title attributes from individual resource links since the values they include are not helpful. Result: When hovering over an individual resource link from a list page, no unhelpful metadata displays.

Comment 1 Samuel Padgett 2021-06-14 18:50:12 UTC
This is intentional, but I agree it's not very useful. Unfortunately, this impacts many different resources, not just projects.

Comment 2 Jakub Hadvig 2021-06-15 07:05:11 UTC
So other core list page table rows have similar title value, eg. ConfigMapTableRow, DaemonSetTableRow, IngressTableRow, JobTableRow, NamespacesTableRow, ReplicaSetTableRow, RouteTableRow, SecretTableRow, ServiceAccountTableRow, ServiceTableRow, ... possible other places. On other places we are using resource name as title. We should be consistent on the title across the core table rows components.

Version: 4.9.0-0.nightly-2021-06-28-114004

Checked all the pages where tables are present and verified that on hovering over the names the internal ids are not displayed.

some of the pages tested are:
cluster/projects
/api-explorer
all-namespaces/pods
all-namespaces/deployments

  etc.
