RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Jiri Kucera 2021-06-15 08:56:57 UTC
Changelog items in lorax.spec are not in chronological order. See http://pkgs.devel.redhat.com/cgit/rpms/lorax/commit/?h=rhel-9.0.0-beta&id=12113ae6121cd1ecd6f4aa5b17161e819562b352

Comment 1 Brian Lane 2021-06-15 21:07:20 UTC
True, but I'm not sure it's something that needs to be changed at this point.

Comment 3 Jan Stodola 2022-05-23 13:50:45 UTC
I'm sorry, but I do not see any problem with lorax's changelog. Could you please provide an example of what is wrong and what is the expected state? Thanks.

Comment 4 Jiri Kucera 2022-05-27 06:34:11 UTC
%changelog
...
* Mon Nov 30 2020 ...
* Mon Nov 02 2020 ...
* Wed Dec 02 2020 ...
      ^^^

`rhpkg prep` failed on this in time of report, but now it seems fine.

Comment 5 Jiri Kucera 2022-05-27 07:08:02 UTC
rhpkg is still complaining, but it not fail:
$ rhpkg prep
Downloading lorax-34.9.6.tar.gz
######################################################################## 100.0%
error: %changelog not in descending chronological order
...

I see that the commit I posted in Comment 0 is stamped 2020-12-02, so maybe the change of both `Mon Nov 02` and `Mon Nov 30` to `Wed Dec 02` will make rhpkg happy.

Comment 6 Jan Stodola 2022-05-27 15:08:58 UTC
Ahh, thanks, sometimes it's difficult to see obvious problems...

Comment 9 Brian Lane 2022-07-12 22:09:50 UTC
Ok, NOW this should be correct. Or at least less wrong :)

https://github.com/weldr/lorax/pull/1249

The issue seems to be that commits ended up overlapping during alpha imports and scrambled things a bit.

Note that there was no 34.4-1 build, it went from 34.3-4 to 34.5-1

Comment 13 Jan Stodola 2022-07-20 16:55:18 UTC
Checked that lorax-34.9.18-1.el9 is in nightly compose RHEL-9.1.0-20220719.0

Moving to VERIFIED
