Description of problem: When deploying IPv6, it is needed to have some specific config to send the DUID, and specifically , send DUID using MAC address. While this configuration is present on master nodes, it isn't on bootstrap. As a consequence, the bootstrap vm is not getting the right ip/hostname from dhcp. It needs to get something like that, but on the bootstrap vm: https://github.com/openshift/machine-config-operator/blob/master/templates/common/on-prem/files/NetworkManager-onprem.conf.yaml#L8 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.8 How reproducible: Setup an IPI deployment with ipv6, and configure DHCP6 server to give static ip addresses by mac. You will see that bootstrap VM is not getting it. Actual results: Bootstrap vm does not get any ip, or gets one from the non-static pool. Expected results: Bootstrap vm gets the desired IP and hostname. Additional info:
