Description Dan Hensley 2006-07-04 19:34:36 UTC
Description of problem:

For the past few kernel updates (I'm on 2.6.17-1.2139), the Grub titles have
simply been "Fedora Core". All previous updates included the kernel version
number in the title. Having the version number in the title is essential,
otherwise I get multiple entries in the Grub main page that just say "Fedora
Core". It's hard to tell which one is which when booting.

How reproducible: 100%

bug in grubby ?

Comment 2 Christian Iseli 2007-01-22 10:47:23 UTC
This report targets the FC3 or FC4 products, which have now been EOL'd.

Could you please check that it still applies to a current Fedora release, and
either update the target product or close it ?

Thanks.

It's fixed in FC6. I skipped FC5 so I don't know about that one.
