Description of problem: Hi Team, Customer followed procedure below: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_openstack_platform/16.1/html-single/undercloud_and_control_plane_back_up_and_restore/index under section 4.2.2 while running ansible playbook to backup controller nodes we realized that all of the openstack containers on all of the controller nodes are down therefor Openstack API is not accessible. Customer wanted a way to backup overcould controllers using rear without loosing API access. Please take a look here: https://galeracluster.com/library/training/tutorials/galera-backup.html It seems to be the correct approach for galera backup. Also it doesn't require containers to be paused and backup can be done node by node. Hence Customer would like to request enhancement of overcloud backup. Current controllers backup is pausing all of the containers on all controller nodes in order to perform consistent db backup. We would like a possibility to keep openstack containers running and do sqldump as a backup (we understand that db might be inconsistent). We prefer this option because it doesn't introduce downtime into openstack. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHOSP 16.1 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
