Description of problem:

Just after a new installation : rotation work really good with Gnome Wayland.

Just do the automatic update (5.12.14-300 + Gnome 40.1.0 + some other) : restart autorotation didn't work, neither in Xorg or Wayland.

No automatic rotation,
