On EL8 0.11.2 the my filter work, but the same filter fails on EL7 which comes with 0.11.1. Under 0.11.2 many date/time fixed was added. So please release it also for EL7. Thanks
I tried to update EL 7 when 0.11.2 was released but a ton of the unit tests fail: https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/1655/72971655/build.log I haven't had time to dig into why.
For some of the tests I think LANG=C is the problem. Try to set LANG=de_DE.utf8 or some other language which use utf8 for the test call.
an for an second an patch is needed, because all build after 01.01.2021 fails: https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/issues/2904
And third an package more is needed to fix the missing tests: # For testcases BuildRequires: systemd-python
Then you are in the game with: Ran 511 tests in 18.372s OK (skipped=22) I hope you can reproduce it, I also attached the fixed files.
