Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description mreynolds 2021-08-04 14:29:26 UTC
Description of problem:

Looks like a epoch date is used for new connections. Maybe it's related to the REALTIME vs MONOTONIC clock change we did recently?

# dsconf localhost monitor server
dn: cn=monitor
version: 389-Directory/2.0.3.20210306gitf0938dada B2021.065.1543
connection: 472:19700102065831Z:1:1:-:cn=dm:0:0:0:38323:ip=::1
connection: 473:19700102065834Z:3:2:-:cn=dm:0:0:0:38324:ip=local

Needs to do into 8.3.z, 8.4.z, 8.5.z

With 389-ds-base-1.4.3.28-1.module+el8.6.0+13040+7da9aab8.x86_64

The patch from https://github.com/389ds/389-ds-base/issues/4658 seems to be correctly applied to the build, but it seems it does not fix the issue :

# dsconf inst1 monitor server
dn: cn=monitor
version: 389-Directory/1.4.3.28 B2021.294.2026
threads: 16
connection: 1:20211104135228Z:3:2:-:cn=Directory Manager:0:0:0:1:ip=local

This date looks correct to me. Previously the incorrect date was 19700102065834Z

Am I missing something?

Comment 6 sgouvern 2021-11-05 08:51:56 UTC
My bad, I had in mind we expected also the date to be in a more human readable format.
