The term "Failed to start switch root" doesn't mean anything from cinder's perspective. The linked BZ (why are these BZs private?) mentions something about an iSCSI issue, but we need to see some sort of analysis has been done on that. We cannot simply wade through an sosreport.

@abishop The analysis is in the linked bug. We just wanted to see what the cinder team has any ideas about this issue. Please lmk what additional information I can provide.  Sorry that the summary is not concise; I'm not quite sure exactly how to summarize this issue better.

Once we figured out how to update the image properly the job is passing.  It does not look like there is a cinder issue at this point.  Thank you for your patience!
