Mudit, what's the rationale for having this in 4.8.z?

No plans as such to fix this in 4.8 
This came during 4.8 times and had flags set for both the release so while resolving 4.9/master BZ I created a 4.8 clone.

If its not critical to fix in 4.8.z then please mark it CLOSED as NEXTRELEASE.
