RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:

2.Boot up bare machine with RHEL-9.0.0-20210825.0

I don't think user "root" should be translated into "根" here.

Comment 1 Ludek Janda 2021-10-26 09:09:10 UTC
I have fixed it now all across all versions of anaconda in Weblate: https://translate.fedoraproject.org/translate/anaconda/rhel-9/zh_CN/?checksum=2eead6b3165bf6d&q=root%E5%AF%86%E7%A0%81&sort_by=-priority%2Cposition

Please pull down the fix from Weblate, rebuild the package and send to QA.

Comment 2 Vladimír Slávik 2021-11-04 10:52:45 UTC
Radku, this will be resolved with next build, but I'm not sure if we have any planned for the near future?

Comment 3 Radek Vykydal 2021-11-04 15:43:39 UTC
Ludku, can you get QA ack for the BZ? I am not sure where to ask (bbarve ?).

Comment 5 Radek Vykydal 2021-11-08 10:16:17 UTC
The translations should be present in the next anaconda build anaconda-34.25.0.20-1.el9 which has just passed gating.
Setting ITM tentatively to 14 to get the release ack.
