Description ssingla 2021-08-30 12:49:16 UTC
Created attachment 1819076 [details]
Screenshot of the debug page.

Description of problem:
While executing direct/indirect migration, we found that the migration was getting completed with warning:

Final Restore openshift-migration/ocp-39413-runoutofspacepv-mig-1630322593-final-lmdrk: partially failed on destination cluster

Also,

The “oc describe” and “oc logs” options are not copying the commands and not responding at all.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
MTC 1.6.0
Prestage
Metadata_nvr: openshift-migration-operator-metadata-container-v1.6.0-14

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prepare 2 OCP cluster 4.7 (controller) -> 4.9 and deploy MTC 1.6.0 on the both cluster
2. execute a migration
ansible-playbook -i inventory.cam.yml ocp-39413-runoutofspacepv.yml -e @config/defaults.yml -e controller_in_source=true
3. Go to MTC UI, and check the debug page in the migplan created.
4. Click on the Kebab shown besides the warning and try copying “oc describe” and “oc logs” command.

Actual results:

Migration gets completed with warning Final Restore openshift-migration/ocp-39413-runoutofspacepv-mig-1630322593-final-lmdrk: partially failed on destination cluster
The “oc describe” and “oc logs” options are not copying the commands and not responding at all.

Expected results:
Migration should complete successfully with the “oc describe” and “oc logs” copying the commands properly.

Comment 1 Erik Nelson 2021-08-31 13:23:55 UTC
You're reporting two distinct bugs here, please file two different bugs when reporting.

Let's use this BZ to track the broken oc describe and oc logs. Please file an additional bug with more details about the partial failure, there is not enough information here for us to reproduce or understand what's causing it.

Ian: Can you see if you can repro the oc describe/oc logs here being broken?

Comment 2 ssingla 2021-08-31 13:33:47 UTC
Hi,

Yes, this issue of oc describe/oc logs being broken is seen multiple times and is reproducible.

Comment 3 Ian 2021-09-02 21:35:31 UTC
I am unable to see the commands being broken or unresponsive, but the log pod name was not being populated correctly due to a change that was made 2 weeks ago. Opened a PR for that here https://github.com/konveyor/mig-ui/pull/1309

Comment 7 Xin jiang 2021-09-15 02:30:27 UTC
