bug 1868254 is about reworking the core of NetworkManager that does IP configuration. That is a huge task, and currently in progress on upstream "next" branch.

This is a individual, separate part of this effort.

NMIP4Config and NMIP6Config (under `src/core`) needs to be reworked.

this is fixed on latest "next" branch.

At this point, the entire "next" branch is still on review/testing, but as far as development work, this is done.

We don't need this bug anymore. Closing.
