Latest upstream release: 1.3.1 Current version/release in rawhide: 1.3.0-3.fc35 URL: http://bowtie-bio.sourceforge.net/index.shtml Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/ More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. Based on the information from anitya: https://release-monitoring.org/project/81530/
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
Automation has figured out the package is retired in rawhide. If you like it to be unretired, please open a ticket at https://pagure.io/releng/new_issue?template=package_unretirement
Sorry for the situation. I will continue to maintain this package.

Working in progress to rebase bowtie to the latest version 1.3.1 on my forked repo's branch: https://src.fedoraproject.org/fork/jaruga/rpms/simde/tree/wip/rebase Working for one test failure: https://github.com/BenLangmead/bowtie/issues/136 . Maybe I will just trim the gcc flag `-Wp,-D_GLIBCXX_ASSERTIONS` to pass the tests.
I sent the PR: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/bowtie/pull-request/3 .
The PR was merged. I have an issue when running the `fedpkg build` that I experienced in another package. I assume the package was not properly unretired. Asking at <https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11282#comment-841914>.
