RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Susmita Sen 2021-09-14 16:30:13 UTC
Description of problem:

The latest CIS datastream version 1.0.1 is not present in the latest scap-security package. The customer can see V 1.0.0.

Customer's comment:-

Latest CIS datastream file (v1.0.1) for RHEL8 is missing in the latest scap-security-guide-0.1.54-5.el8.noarch. The version it carries is v1.0.0 which is older CIS Benchmark for RHEL8. The latest one recently released is v1.0.1.

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. If you install scap-security-guide-0.1.54-5.el8.noarch(latest), it doesn't carry the latest CIS benchmark.

Comment 2 Ramesh Daryani 2021-09-14 20:55:10 UTC
Hi

Since we have a project kicked-off recently to certify our RHEL 7 and 8 builds with latest CIS bencharks, kindly share the latest datastream files for both RHEL7 and 8 on priority. We have been provided a timeline to complete it by end of Oct 2021.

Comment 16 Marek Haicman 2021-11-04 20:06:43 UTC
Our current understanding of the ask is to have similar profile to the one that was shipped in 8.4, but aligned with the latest CIS version, 1.0.1

This update is going to land in 8.5, as part of Bug 1993197
I will set it as a duplicate as soon as we get the confirmation our understanding is correct.
