Description RHCOS Bug Bot 2021-09-15 18:12:11 UTC
Backport the fix for bug 2004449 to 4.7.

Comment 1 Benjamin Gilbert 2021-09-17 17:04:37 UTC
Landed in 47.84.202109171532-0 for x86_64. ppc64le and s390x builds do not yet include the cosa commit, but the affected code path doesn't run on those arches.

Comment 2 RHCOS Bug Bot 2021-09-17 17:05:12 UTC
This bug has been reported fixed in a new RHCOS build. Do not move this bug to MODIFIED until the fix has landed in a new bootimage.

Comment 3 Benjamin Gilbert 2021-09-17 17:23:22 UTC
Marking Regression because the Boot Options Restoration screen in shim 15.4 is new to this bootimage bump.

Comment 4 RHCOS Bug Bot 2021-10-01 16:49:36 UTC
The fix for this bug has landed in a bootimage bump, as tracked in bug 1964753 (now in status MODIFIED). Moving this bug to MODIFIED.

Comment 6 Michael Nguyen 2021-10-05 20:32:31 UTC
Verified on RHCOS 47.84.202109241831-0 which is the boot image for 4.7.0-0.nightly-2021-10-04-202544
