anthy is a build and runtime requirement of maliit-keyboard. maliit-keyboard is a new runtime requirement of plasma-workspace, a critical piece of the KDE Plasma Desktop. Please branch and build anthy in epel8-next and epel8. I asking for epel8-next because that is where the new KDE Plasma Desktop currently is. If you do not wish to maintain anthy in epel8, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package.
One other thing. The F34 version of anthy builds on epel8-next with no changes needed.
anthy is deprecated and anthy-unicode is used in Fedora. You could find EPEL8 anthy-unicode in https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2021-b8c725c371

I have a pull request in to fix the maliit-keyboard spec file. https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/maliit-keyboard/pull-request/1 Test builds show that just changing the buildrequirement was all the change that was needed. Since anthy-unicode is already in EPEL, I am closing this bug. Thank You
