Doc Text:
In this release, the manually-created x-descriptors which provided UI hints to the OpenShift Container Platform user interface within the Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM) were removed. The removal of the x-descriptors results in the UI system using the API defined in the CustomResourceDefinition (CRD). Maintaining the UI hints is easier and more of the ServiceTelemetry objects configuration options are exposed to the OLM UI. As a result, configuring ServiceTelemetry objects, especially in a multiple cloud environment, is now easier.

Description Leif Madsen 2021-09-28 12:59:22 UTC
Description of problem: Currently the `clouds` parameter is not exposed in the OCP UI for the Service Telemetry Operator. Adding UI hints for clouds would make configuring STF for customers easier.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): STF 1.4, possible backport to 1.3.

Additional info: The ECK Operator uses x-descriptors to allow adding multiple entries of the same type of component. Review how this works and use the same pattern to allow adding and managing the `clouds` parameter in the STO UI.
