Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
Cause: In RHCOS 4.8, /boot is RO by default. However, kdump was writing its generated initramfs in /boot by default. Consequence: A workaround was added to keep /boot RW when kdump was enabled. Fix: kdump has been updated to use another location (/var/lib/kdump) to store the generated initramfs. Result: We can now keep /boot RO when kdump is enabled.

Testing this one will different from than the previous ones as we have to test the following situation (on top of the one tested before):

- Spawn an 4.8 RHCOS node without this fix and with kdump enabled
- Update the node to a version with this fix
- Ensure that everything still works
- Figure out if there are any left over files in /boot

I'll do the pre-merge testing soon.

Closing as won't fix as 4.8 is going out of full support and we want to focus on enabling full kdump support in later releases instead.
