Description romulasry 2021-10-19 22:33:59 UTC
It would be nice to have the newest packages, no?

The release monitoring does not find difference between development (odd number e.g. 5.35.x) and stable release (even numbers e.g. 5.34.x). That is the reason why monitoring is not enabled, because we are using only stable version in Fedora.

The latest stable version of Perl is always added to Fedora asap.

Before releasing new stable version, there are some release candidate, which we used for tests, scratch builds and update preparation.

If you want to see the steps which are needed for updating to major release 5.34.0, please look at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/perl5.34

Updating to maintenance release is easier, but we also used RC for preparation.
