As reported upstream at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/4647 , mutter has/had a bug that causes the cursor to jump around crazily in text editors like gedit under some circumstances. Possibly only when an input method is configured (it doesn't have to be *active*, though). I'm filing this for bureaucracy purposes: it's been fixed upstream and I am going to backport the fix, would like to include it in F35 Final so the Workstation live is fixed. So, proposing as an FE.

It's quite rare. Normally everything is fine. Rarely, GNOME gets into this bad state such that the bug occurs, then it continues to occur until I reboot.
I'm hitting it constantly, it's actually genuinely quite annoying and slows down my work, even though I'm being flippant about it. It's no fun having my cursor constantly flipped around in a 3,000 line source file or spec file when I'm trying to actually do work on it. I *do* have an input method configured, though rarely selected.
