Description of problem: Please package Deja Dup for epel8. Currently the only way we can use it on RHEL8 is to use the flatpak. Deja Dup is our corporate standard backup tool for Linux and it would be great to have it packaged. This will most likely also require packaging some of the requirements, such as PyDrive2. Additional info: Current Fedora packages use pydrive and not pydrive2, and so most likely pydrive2 will need to be packaged for Fedora users too.
We currently us PyDrive in Fedora but PyDrive2 is coming. Currently EPEL-8 is missing libhandy1, which is required to build deja-dup. Please file a bug requesting that for EPEL-8, blocking this bug, and I'll build deja-dup when libhandy1 is ready. Thanks!

But it is retired https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2135153 I want deja-dup too... Do you know what to do next?
It looks like it was renamed libhandy... file the epel8 request there.
(In reply to Gwyn Ciesla from comment #3) > It looks like it was renamed libhandy... file the epel8 request there. Ummm that means, hand a libhandy build request for epel8? Sorry I'm new here, I want deja-dup and what I need to do next qwq
Precisely. Thank you!
gtk3 in RHEL 8 is too old to build libhandy. Even ancient libhandy 1.0.x (the current version is 1.8.0) requires gtk3 3.24.x, but the gtk3 version in RHEL 8 is 3.22.x.
So looking at the git history, we could have deja-dup in EL-8 but no newer than 40.6. 40.7 actually. Betty, is that acceptable?
