Description of problem: I would like to maintain copyq epel8 and epel8-next branches. Somehow I cannot choose the copyq as component, thus I use package review instead.
Reassigned to copyq. Components don't show up under Fedora EPEL unless they have at least one EPEL branch, that's why you couldn't find it.
Hi Troy, Please put this on your build list as per the previous email thread. Thanks!
I have put copyq on my list of KDE packages to build. I am branching and building it on epel8-next (for CentOS Stream 8) right now. It will not build on the current epel8, due to appstream only being in epel8-next. When RHEL 8.5 comes out, with the newer QT5 libraries that are currently only in CentOS Stream 8, appstream, and all the KDE Plasma Desktop packages will get rebuilt on epel8. We expect that to happen within a month, hopefully by December 1st. Since this is on my list of KDE packages, I plan on updating them according to the plan we setup with the EPEL SIG https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/KDE/EPEL#Update_Schedule In short, for the epel packages in the KDE Plamsa Desktop there will be a major update once a year with whatever is in the latest stable Fedora release. (Currently, that is F34) Although there might be individual packages updated for various bugs, the goal is to keep the desktop stable for a year at a time.
Built for epel8-next, and going through bodhi. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-NEXT-2021-9489830b1e Again, this is for epel8-next only right now, due to missing appstream. This means it is currently only available on CentOS Stream 8. Hopefully by December 1st, we should have appstream in epel8, and with it, this package. Then it will be available on RHEL 8, and all it's clones.
