When Ansible 2.9 is used to manage an Oracle Linux 8 node, it mistakenly uses /usr/bin/python as a preferred version. Please include this pull request as a patch into Ansible 2.9 for Fedora, followed by a backport to EPEL 8 and EPEL 7: https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/73498 This change will no longer be necessary once Ansible 2.11 is made available for Fedora, EPEL 8, and EPEL 7, and users are able to upgrade to it. However, until it is available, or in case Ansible 2.11 will not be backported to either of EPEL 8, or EPEL 7, please include this in the next Ansible 2.9 build. An attempt was made to get this change merged upstream into Ansible 2.9. It was blocked due to it not being a "security fix". However, Kevin Fenzi kindly offered to add it similarly to how Rocky Linux support was added.
Yeah, I can add this in. I'll wait until after 2.9.27 goes stable or 2.9.28 comes out, whichever happens first.
