Description of problem: Case: Migrating form RHV a VM mapped to a host device. * For host device of type USB, validation messages [1] & [2] are displayed. * For host device of types other than USB [PCI, ISCSI, etc], validation message [1] is displayed. For host device there should be a warning validation and not critical, therefore message [2] should not be used. Also there is no sense to have validation message [2] added specifically for USB. Considering that please change the validation for host device to have a single validation warning, for a host device of any type: Warning: "VM has mapped host devices: The VM is configured with hardware devices mapped from the host <Detail here which host devices are mapped for example PCI, USB, ISCSI>. This functionality is not currently supported by OpenShift Virtualization." [1] Info: "VM has mapped host devices: The VM is configured with hardware devices mapped from the host. This functionality is not currently supported by OpenShift Virtualization." [2] Critical: "Host USB device: A host USB device has been attached to this VM, which is not currently supported by OpenShift Virtualization. The VM will not be migrated." Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Fixed with https://github.com/konveyor/forklift-validation/pull/36 & https://github.com/konveyor/forklift-validation/pull/37
Please verify with mtv-operator-bundle-container-2.2.0-80 / iib:132252, or later.
Verified on MTV-2.2.0-80/CNV-4.9.1 For a VM with USB/PCI hpst device this warning: "VM has mapped host devices: The VM is configured with hardware devices mapped from the host. This functionality is not currently supported by OpenShift Virtualization."
