neovim in epel is version 0.3.8 which is very old.
current is 0.5.1 (https://github.com/neovim/neovim/releases/tag/v0.5.1)

can this please be updated?

Probably should be 0.6.0 right now. I'll try and see what's the latest that can be built based on dependencies in RHEL 8.5.
