Description of problem: The latest xz tag from a month ago includes support for the new MicroLZMA format for embedded use cases, which is supported by a package I maintain. Can this version be packaged at least in rawhide? Or maybe a new xz package variant is warranted? Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): v5.3.2alpha Additional info: The xz release notes on MicroLZMA: https://git.tukaani.org/?p=xz.git;a=blob;f=NEWS;hb=refs/tags/v5.3.2alpha Userspace feature description/benchmarks that require xz-5.3.2alpha: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20211010213145.17462-1-xiang@kernel.org Kernel-side support is merged for 5.16: https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/20211101003654.GA23732@hsiangkao-HP-ZHAN-66-Pro-G1
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36.
Once a new *stable* version of xz is released, I'll update it in rawhide.
I'll close this as a duplicate since release-monitoring.org is pestering about updating to 5.4 now. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 2142405 ***
