Is there a reason why you require mailx specifically? There is s-nail in CentOS Stream and RHEL 9, it provides mailx command and it should be fully compatible with mailx.

No, no reason, I didn't notice s-nail because it does't Provide mailx. Sorry for the noise.

That's a good point, maybe it should. It does provide /bin/mailx and /usr/bin/mailx, but that's not transparent enough.
