Description Paul Howarth 2021-12-20 10:11:03 UTC
I would like an EPEL9 branch of perl-PPIx-Utils as part of the dependency tree for perl-Test-MinimumVersion (Bug #2034030).

Since you don't do any EPEL packaging, could you please add me (FAS: pghmcfc) as a committer to the package so that I can do it myself?

Comment 1 Paul Howarth 2021-12-27 10:34:42 UTC
Will you be able to branch and build perl-PPIx-Utils in epel9?
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer if you do not wish
to build it on epel9.

Comment 2 Ralf Corsepius 2022-01-03 11:18:12 UTC
I've added you as "collaborator" and bugzilla contact for epel*

Comment 3 Paul Howarth 2022-01-03 14:05:13 UTC
Thanks Ralf. I requested an epel9 branch:
https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/40387

Hopefully "collaborator" status is sufficient for this to work.

It's what I guessed from this hardly usable web-GUI, but don't know, either ;)

I'm pleased to say it worked.

Could you please do the same for the following packages?
perl-Want (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2036429)
perl-Regexp-Common (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2031815)
perl-Perl-MinimumVersion (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2034173)
perl-Return-Type (no BZ yet)
perl-Type-Tiny (please add me as collaborator in addition to Petr) (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2032430)
perl-Sub-Exporter-Lexical (no BZ yet)
perl-Type-Tie (no BZ yet)
perl-Sub-Infix (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2033348)
perl-Validation-Class (no BZ yet)

If you'd prefer that I raise tickets for the "no BZ yet" packages, let me know and I'll do it.

EPEL already exists and is owned by Lubomir Rintel. I've added you as "collaborator".

> perl-Regexp-Common (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2031815)
EPEL already exists and is owned by Xavier Lamien. I've added you as "collaborator"

Already done (IIRC, yesterday).

> perl-Return-Type (no BZ yet)
Done.

I had assigned perl-Type-Tiny to Xavier B. (IIRC, yesterday), because it was him, who requested it.
Nevertheless, I've added you as "collaborator".

Cf. above. I prefer keeping things simple. The amount of bureaucracy these EPEL-requests have already is beyond reason, plus the usability und bugginess of
https://src.fedoraproject.org only deserves one attribute: "crap".

Hi Ralf,

another one for you please. Somehow I'm EPEL contact for perl-Test-MinimumVersion but don't have collaborator access for it. Could you add me please?

Done - BTW, this is one of the dozens if not hundreds of packages which have lost "perl-sig" :(

Thanks.

The perl-sig commit access doesn't seem to help with branching anyway. I tried requesting the epel9 branch for perl-Sub-Infix (which has commit access for perl-sig) but that didn't work (https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/40356), hence my request for access to that package earlier.

Hi Ralf, another one please: perl-Test-Script

Comment 13 Ralf Corsepius 2022-01-07 15:33:59 UTC
Done.
