Just discovered that on a second machine, where OpenWeatherMap almost never works for some reason, but Dark Sky always has worked, Dark Sky still works with the latest version of ca-certificates. I have no idea what's going on.
Just to clarify, on the original machine, both OpenWeatherMap and Dark Sky would work with the old version of ca-certificates, and neither work with the new version.
And on a third machine, where I don't normally run GNOME, both OpenWeatherMap and Dark Sky work with the new version of ca-certificates.
I clean installed F35 on all 3 machines. And I regularly rsync the contents of my home directory from the first machine to the third one, so I doubt it's anything in there, since it's broken on the first machine but works on the third (with the latest version of ca-certificates).
Apparently, after updating ca-certificates, a reboot is necessary. I had done this before testing on the second and third machines, but not the first. After rebooting the first machine, it also works properly. Sorry for the noise.
