Description Robert Scheck 2021-12-28 00:25:13 UTC
Description of problem:
Please build amavis for EPEL 9, because it's a dependency of the amavisd-milter package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
amavis-2.12.2-2.fc36

Actual results:
No amavis in EPEL 9.

Expected results:
amavis-2.12.2-2.el9 - or better ;-)

Additional info:
Please let me know if you are not interested in maintaining the package on EPEL 9 branch.

Comment 1 Fedora Update System 2022-01-06 09:12:20 UTC
FEDORA-EPEL-2022-f1fae6b82a has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 9. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2022-f1fae6b82a

Comment 2 Juan Orti 2022-01-06 11:12:21 UTC
These dependencies are missing in epel9:

  - nothing provides perl(BerkeleyDB) needed by amavis-2.12.2-2.el9.noarch
  - nothing provides altermime needed by amavis-2.12.2-2.el9.noarch
  - nothing provides perl(File::LibMagic) needed by amavis-2.12.2-2.el9.noarch
  - nothing provides perl(Net::LibIDN) needed by amavis-2.12.2-2.el9.noarch

Comment 3 Robert Scheck 2022-01-06 20:59:40 UTC
See also bug #2037930 regarding perl(Net::LibIDN), given the successor libidn2 (rather than the currently backing libidn) should be used according to libidn upstream.
