Description of problem:
Follow up from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2014420

on (nightly kubevirt CI clusters) topology breaks as the models were not discovered

the associated PR adds check and lets it fail gracefully.

1. get access to nightly kubevirt CI clusters
